Man Utd’s player rankings against Bournemouth: What a joke! Erik ten Hag’s team reached a new low as Anthony Martial is miserable and Scott McTominay goes from being a hero to nothing

Diogo Dalot Manchester United 2023-24

Goalkeeper & Defence

Andre Onana (5/10):

Made a shaky start and risked giving away a penalty in the opening minutes. Not directly to blame for any goals, but didn’t do much to stop them.

Diogo Dalot (5/10):

Had one lovely move with Antony which ended in him blasting into the side netting. Pretty average defensively.

Harry Maguire (6/10):

United’s best player again, but that’s nothing to celebrate.

Luke Shaw (4/10):

Found out at centre-back and his lack of height worked against him, being out-jumped by Billing for the second goal. He also lost the ball in the build-up to that goal and his distribution was poor.

Sergio Reguilon (5/10):

Played with passion but his decision-making was poor and a lot of Bournemouth’s best moves came down his right side.Scott McTominay Manchester United 2023-24

Sofyan Amrabat (4/10):

Couldn’t cope with Bournemouth’s intensity.

Scott McTominay (4/10):

Very poor on the ball, giving it away repeatedly. Barely got in any good shooting positions.

Bruno Fernandes (5/10):

Kept on over-hitting passes or seeing his balls cut out. Now suspended for the trip to Liverpool after getting a silly booking for dissent.

Anthony Martial Manchester United 2023-24

Antony (5/10):

Couldn’t follow up his impressive display against Chelsea and was back to being ineffectual. At least he worked hard.

Anthony Martial (3/10):

Another Ԁire performance as a starter to file alongside his one at Newcastle. Slow, weak and created almost nothing.

Alejandro Garnacho (5/10):

Struggled to get much room down the left and was nullified by Smith. Might have been affected by a bаng he took on the face in the first half.Erik ten Hag Manchester United 2023-24

Subs & Manager

Rasmus Hojlund (5/10):

An improvement on Martial but not by much. Picked up a silly booking for asking for a yellow card for an opponent.

Facundo Pellistri (N/A):

Came on in the 79th minute.

Jonny Evans (N/A):

Came on in the 79th minute and looked hapless for the fourth goal, but spared by VAR.

Marcus Rashford (N/A):

Came on in the 79th minute and ran into the same problems he has faced all season: an inability to beаt his man.

Erik ten Hag (4/10):

Why did he start Martial and why did he not at least haul him off at half-time?
